The Baby Whale
Sprocket's main role as a fabricator on this project is to install all of the brackets that anchor the stained glass panels. This is the fluke of the baby whale while brackets are being installed before the glass.
The Space Whale in Reno
The Space Whale will be installed in Reno, NV at the City Plaza for one year. Getting the mama whale and her calf ready for their semi-permanent home in a major city requires a lot more fabrication work. Sprocket has rejoined her whale family of volunteers to help with this process. The Whale will be installed in July 2017.
New Brackets for the Mama
The Mama whale needs lots of new brackets to secure the glass panels before installation in downtown Reno.
Flyn the Frog at Simple Ice Cream

The Space Whale
After the birth of her daughter, Elliot Taika, Sprocket looked forward to getting her hands dirty with a new project. The Space Whale, lent it self quite openly to this thirst. A large scale metal project and orchestrated by a splattering of Sprocket's dear friends, it was an easy transition back into the world of making Big Art.
The Space Whale will be on display for Burning Man 2016 at center camp. It is a 50ft replica of a humpback whale mother and her calf made of steel and stained glass.
Sprocket had the fortunate opportunity to work on this project as a welder fabricator.
SnowFlake was created for the 2015 SnowGlobe Festival in Lake Tahoe. It was also featured at Campo and Reno Sculpture Fest 2016.
The SnowFlake was created by Team Schnee: Jessi Sprocket, Micah Turner, Zachariah Medina and Aric Shapiro.

Spiritus Mortem was originally created for Reno Sculpture Fest 2015. After RSF, Spiritus was featured at NadaDada, Reno Compression and Burning Man 2015. Spiritus is now permanently installed at Playa Playgrounds near Flanigan, Nevada.
Special Thanks to Michael LaPrairie for the pyrotechnic design & execution as well as heavy machinery.
