Baba Yaga’s House
Fabricated 2018 | Placed 2019
In collaboration with The Burning Man Project, Baba Yaga’s House is currently installed at Fly Ranch in Northern Nevada. The sculpture has a five-year lease at Fly Ranch and interested folks can visit the art via The Friends of Black Rock High Rock tours or Fly Ranch Volunteer Days.
Yaga’s House is an immersive experience that looks out over the stunning landscape of the high desert. The Cauldron (formerly Baba Yaga’s Book Club) originally created the work for Burning Man 2018 as an Honorarium recipient. This is Jessi Sprocket’s most well-known work which solidified her position as an art leader in Reno/Sparks. It was her first time running a crew of 10+ artists to create a large-scale collaborative work and it was her first honorarium grant from Burning Man.
