About The Prospero Project
My brother Ashwinn Isengrim is creating an accessible RPG bus at Possum Family Farms. Ash is also a part of the Baba Yaga Team and the DM for many of our crew.
The Prospero RPG Shuttle Bus: An accessible RPG adventure Bus
A rolling TTRPG Event Space built inside a Ford E450 Handicapped Shuttle Bus:
My name is Ash, I am a TTRPG gamer from Reno, NV
This project will build a gaming platform that will accessible for all through the creation of an immersive, inclusive and accessible RPG shuttle bus!
The goal of this project is to bring the community and creativity of RPGs to underserved people across the country through the use of a handicap shuttle bus full of knowledge and RPG supplies.
Basic Repairs & Custom Art
Here's the skinny:
$4k will be needed to repair the bus, getting it functional and ready to roll. The additional $4,500 in funds will be used to build custom storage, tables, and restore the wheelchair lift gate [the total cost of repairs & deco is still far less than the cost of a brand new bus] as well as supplies for gaming both in-person and virtual including dice, costumes, RPG rule books, props, a webcam, computer and audio equipment.
Perks for contributors will range from custom merch, all the way to tickets to TTRPG gaming events, hosted by me.
The Impact
Make a difference:
While TTRPG games have become more popular in recent years, Chronically Ill & LGBTQA+ gamers are still under-represented in the community. Prospero aims to change that by bringing the game to all people.
I am a member of the Baba Yaga sculpture team from Burning Man 2018 & I will be working closely with the team to make this dream a reality.
The Challenge
Funding, Blood, Sweat, and Tears
I have the design, the drive, the tools, but need help with funding materials.
With the workshop resources provided by the Generator maker-space, I will be able to stack the materials and restore the bus in less than a year.
By November of 2022 you will see a funky shuttle bus will a crowd of smiling people rolling dice!
And that's all there is to it.
Thank you for supporting this campaign. The Prospero will bring joy, adventure and creativity to many, many people and we are so happy that you have chosen to become a part of this amazing mission to bring RPG games to all!
We will be documenting this entire process and offering up all the resources we have so that others can follow in our foot steps and create their own rolling accessible community RPG buses! If you have any questions or you would like to help please reach out to us! We would love to hear your thoughts.
