After the birth of her daughter, Elliott Taika, Sprocket looked forward to getting her hands dirty with a new project. The Space Whale, lent it self quite openly to this thirst. A large scale metal project and orchestrated by a splattering of Sprocket's dear friends, it was an easy transition back into the world of making Big Art.
The Space Whale was created for Burning Man 2016 where it was featured in the Center Camp Keyhole. It is a 40ft replica of a humpback whale mother and her calf made of steel and stained glass.
Sprocket had the fortunate opportunity to work on this project as a welder fabricator.
